Hot August Nights!

Hot August Nights ended last weekend in Reno. There were roughly 6000 cars, scattered all across town, in this years show! Dan's step-dad, Charlie likes to re-build hot rods so he had his car in the show. Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture of it since by the time we made it to the show on Friday, he had already taken his home since the weather was turning bad. It was pretty chilly Friday, upper 60's, with some yucky wind, but, with all the buildings around it made for a pretty enjoyable afternoon for looking at hot rods!

Standing in-front of one of the two "the biggest little city in the world" signs.

Levi is in this phase where he wont look at the camera and smile anymore... oh well! At least daddy is smilin' and cute!

A dragon on one of the engine blocks.

Quite a few of the cars had these fake little kids around their displays. Levi was a little bothered by them. He kept going up to them and patting them on the back to see if they were okay, and trying to see their faces!

The clown car!

The owner of the car making balloon animals for the children. This was as close as Levi would get to him!

Stretch mini-cooper!

One of my favorite kinds of hot rods! A 1950's Chevy.

Another cool car!

This car reminded me of the Ghostbusters car!

Inside the "big kids toy store." This is a Cor vet built from three different years body types. The front is one year, the middle and inside are another, and the back is yet another. Kinda cool!

All of us eating lunch at a 50's diner inside Grand Sierra Resort! Thanks Nana and Grandpa Charlie!!

A shot of the diner, it was really cute!!

  1. How fun! I wish that we were in the 60's here, then being pregnant wouldn't be so miserable! Get ready, the snow is going to be coming! I remember the winters at Beale AFB having non-stop rain. Hope things are going great!
