Catch up on fun from St. George

I got really behind with my blogging towards the end of our stay in St. George. Here's a bunch of random things we did and enjoyed while living in Dixie!
First up, Dan's graduation!! It's been a long, hard road but in May Dan graduated with his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. In June he took and passed both of his board tests and is now a licensed pharmacist! We are so proud of him and very glad that, that part of our life is now over.

Just after graduation we celebrated Dan's 32 birthday! We had a wonderful time hiking in Red Cliffs, a yummy dinner, and a very, very (at Dan's request) chocolaty cake!

Next up, we celebrated Levi's 3rd birthday!! We had a blast!! Levi is a HUGE fan of trains right now, and he picked out a train cake that he wanted me and Grandma to make for him. He picked out the cake pan, and then the design he wanted. The design he wanted didn't have a place to put his name on it so he even told us where on the train he wanted his name. He calls it his special train cake, and to this day is still talking about it!

Grandma had saved a few toys that me and my brothers had enjoyed when we were younger. One of his favorites was the dinosaur molds. When I was younger we would use modeling clay, let them dry and paint the dinosaurs. Luckily, Levi was very content to use Play-doh.

But, Levi's favorite part about St. George was being able to swim in Grandpa's pool! Once the pool warmed up it became a nightly tradition to go swimming with Grandpa! Levi got to be quite the little swimmer. Grandpa taught him how to kick his legs and use his arms and even got him swimming on his back. Of course all this was done with floaties, but I am still very proud of how good he got!

Happy Birthday Levi!!

Three years ago today my and Dan's lives changed in a wonderful way! This wonderful extremely curious, smart, determined little boy entered our life. People always say to enjoy your children because they grow up so fast. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined just how fast the last three years have flown by. It's amazing how much this tiny little guy has grown and changed....

Red Cliffs Flashback

While living in St. George, before the heat set in, we took a day trip up to Red Cliffs for a picnic and a hike. My parents had never been to Red Cliffs and Dan and I had not been there since just before our wedding. We had lots of fun! The scenery was beautiful and the stream was still running. We went with my parents and my brother Brad. This is going to be a long post, with lots and lots of pictures, but I want to keep these beautiful pics and memories close!

Main Street Splash Park

One of the many wonderful things about St. George is that from May to September it is always perfect weather to be playing out in the water! Levi loves to play in the water and would spend all day "washing" his bike or playing in the pool or watering trees with Grandpa. There are a couple of different splash parks all around St. George. The one on Main Street is geared more towards the little kids with a little water fall and stream and an area where water shoots up out of the ground. It's great fun for the kids!

We went with a couple of friends. Here's Levi and his friend Sam playing on the water steps. They spent forever just running up and down them!

Lots of fun!!

Prego Pic #2

I have officially hit the home stretch of this pregnancy! Today I am 30 weeks and 5 days. This pic was taken on Memorial Day while breaking in Grandpa's pool for the first time this season.

Funny story, about two weeks ago, Levi was sitting on the counter in front of me and said he wanted to see my belly. He lifted my shirt up and shouted, "Wow! That's huge, Mom!" Dan and I almost died laughing!
