Pioneer Day and Nana's Birthday!

For Pioneer Day our stake did the traditional pancake breakfast at the park. So saturday morning we got up and ready early (earlier than we usually do on a saturday) and went down to the Lazy 5 park. It's a huge park that has three or four diferent play areas, pavilions, and lots of fields to play soccor and baseball in. When we got there there was a big line for the yummy breakfast, so, we dubbed Dan our line saver and Levi and I went to the park to play!

This is Levi's 'no, I don't want to smile, I want to play!' face. It always takes Levi a while to warm up to playing at the playground when there are lots of other kids around. He would rather watch them play first.

I used to love riding the horses at the playground when I was little. So, I was really excited to see that this park had some, and even more excited that Levi enjoyed them as much as I did! It was kind of a stiff horse, but he got the idea and had a lot of fun with it! We had to pry him off of it to go eat his breakfast.

We didn't get to stay very long, Dan and I still had a little birthday dinner shopping to do for Nana's party that night. We made a big dinner of tri-tip, garlic mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, fruit salad, and rolls. Yummm! We took it all over to Stacy's house, where she had made a beautiful cake and had lots of good ice cream!

The pretty cake Stacy made! It was coconut!

Yes, that is Nana helping to light the candles on her own cake! I think Levi thought it was his birthday again, he was grinning from ear to ear, and wanted to blow out those candles so bad!

Happy Birthday, Nana!!
