I have had many questions about where we are and what is going on with us now. Our lives have always been so crazy and our plans seem to change as quickly as we can make up our minds on something. Luckily for us, things have always worked out for the best and gone the way we feel the Lord wants them. This last change in plans has not been an exception to that!
So, where are we and what's going on? Here we go! Dan applied for, and was granted a one year residency with the Reno VA. We feel very fortunate that he was granted this opportunity. Their were 900 more applicants for residencies this year than their were available residencies. A residency is basically an extra year of training beyond the normal pharmacy degree. It will allow him to be a clinical pharmacist (meaning he can work in a hospital setting or in a clinic where he actually sees patients and has much more to do with the treatment and management of certain disease states). His residency is a clinical residency. He still has a couple pharmacists who oversee his work but, he has his own patients that he sees on a regular basis and his own office. Since his residency is clinical and thru the VA he will be traveling a bit to different clinics around the area. His office is in Fallon, NV where the Top Gun Navel Air Station is. Fallon is about an hour from Reno. We decided to take up residency in Fernley, which is smack dab in-between the two. It's a VERY small town and has been hit really hard with the housing crash, because of that we were able to rent ourselves a cute little home. It's a four bedroom, so plenty of space for our growing family AND guests! We are very happy with it!

Next up for us is going to be the arrival of our second little boy! I am now 38 weeks 5 days. I am very anxious and ready for this little one to be born. These last few weeks have been very rough (for all of us)! We are hoping that he will come on his own, but my Doc has agreed that if he doesn't come on his own by Wednesday that we will schedule and induction. So, either way this little one will be joining our family sometime this week! We don't have a name picked yet, we've got a couple of ideas but we need to see him first! Wish us luck and we'll post some pics after he comes!

Your family is sooo cute!!! Thanks for sharing your blog update on FB! It was fun reading and learning more about your fam! Congrats to your hubby on his residency!! Sounds like an awesome opportunity! And congrats on the upcoming 2nd little boy!! Good luck with the delivery! Can't wait to see pics of your newest addition!

I'm so glad you posted this. It's so good to see pictures and know how you are doing. I liked being induced with Ethan so I hope however it happens it's a good experience for you.
